Dr Janet Fitzell
Director and Principal Consultant
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Janet Fitzell, co-founder and a director of FourLeaf Consulting, is an organisational consultant who also has extensive business management and leadership experience. She specialises in organisational development, change leadership and group dynamics.
Janet’s consulting approach combines applied research and analytical skills, broad management and leadership experience and deep understanding of the complexities of organisation dynamics. She provides clients with consulting support which is both bottom-line focused and attuned to the broader business context, at the same time mindful of the needs of people within the organisation. Clients include not-for-profit, public and private sector organisations.
Her management experience encompasses senior roles in services organisations, strategic and business planning, acquisition integration, responsibility for client relationships and many aspects of organisation development and human resources management. She has extensive experience of leading and managing in situations where successful outcomes depended on responding effectively to rapid change, strong competitive forces and complex stakeholder expectations.
Janet’s doctoral research explored the effect of e-mail on organisational performance. Her Masters research examined strategic partnerships between technology suppliers in the Local Government sector. In addition to her consulting practice, Janet designs and teaches programs in leadership, governance, change management and organisation dynamics to MBA students at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (Swinburne University).
She is a voluntary board member in the Community Health sector.
